Panopto: Example from ChE210 Lecture from Spring 2012
Before the Lecture
1. Open Panopto (there should be an icon on the Desktop)
2. Make sure Offline Recording is selected in the Folder line. If not, click the triangle to the right to make a drop-down menu appear. In the lower left corner is the Offline Recording button.
2. Type: ChE 210 Lecture 01: 01-11-12 in the record a new session called: bar.
3. Press Record
Password: *should be given to you or you can ask for it.
Press Enter
2. Click on View all Sessions
3. Find your lecture -> go over it with your mouse -> some options should appear on the right side -> click on the gear which are the Settings -> a window will open up
4. To download the video choose the video podcast setting you desire and click download. (If the download option does not appear, it may still be encoding so wait a few minutes)
5. Once it is downloaded, Save it to the Desktop -> Edit -> Save -> Export to Firma
6. Once exporting is done: Access Blackboard Learn in the Lecture Videos and Annotated Notes and check that the corresponding lecture video opens and plays.

1. If there is need of Panopto for backup, access Panopto online: http://panopto.its.iastate.edu/Panopto/Pages/Default.aspx- Log in using: iastate.edu
- Username: !edencoder
- Password: *should be given to you or you can ask for it.
